The exhibition “É pau, é pedra…” paid tribute to Sergio Camargo, one of the central figures of Brazilian contemporary art. Bringing together a comprehensive selection of reliefs and sculptures, the show presented the rigorous language developed by the artist, marked by the repetition of the cylinder as a constructive element and by his investigation into the relationships between form, light, and space.

In dialogue with the modernist spirit of Brasília and the architecture of Oscar Niemeyer, the exhibition engaged with the architectural landscape of the city, reaffirming the continued relevance of Camargo’s sculptural vision.
