Created in 2007 by Dutch artist duo Lonneke Gordjin and Ralph Nauta, Studio Drift is a multidisciplinary creative pool that researches positive ways of using technology to highlight phenomena in nature and society. Drift means both “drifting” and being “at the mercy”, but their practice reveals how this drifting can be an active and creative process. Working at the intersection of art and design, his works demonstrate how the natural and artificial worlds can be interconnected. This is the purpose of the Life in Things exhibition, which presents the sensitive and visionary art of Studio Drift to the Brazilian public for the first time.
